현대 한국화의 저형론과 작품론을 탐구하여 창작활동의 이론적 토대를 연구한다

This subject aims to study theoretical basis of creative activities by exploring theories of formation and art works of contemporary Korean paintings.

동양화조형예술론 Theories of Oriental Paintings as Formative Art

동양예술의 본질 및 미적 가치의 고유성을 미학적 방법론을 통해 알아보고 바람직한 예술가상의 정립에 요구되는 이론적 지식과 작 품을 연구한다

This subject aims to learn the essence of Oriental art and uniqueness of its aesthetic value through the aesthetic methodology, and to study theoretical knowledge and artworks required to the establishment of the image of desirable artists.

한국화연구Ⅰ Studies of Korean Paintings Ⅰ

한국화의 현대적 조형 미의식을 바탕으로 개성 있는 작품을 표현하며 개인 창작의 이론적 토대를 연구한다

This subject aims to produce creative artworks on the basis of mordernized formative consciousness of Korean painting, and to study the theoretical basis of individual creation.

환경조각

건축 공간에 설치되는 건축도예의 하나인 환경도예는 도시환경의 미화를 위한 새로운 분야로 각광을 받고 있다 본 과목에서는 건축 공예를 보다 더 현대적으로 탈바꿈시킴으로써 현대감각에 부응하는 창조적인 환경도자의 자리매김을 모색한다

Environmental ceramics, one of architectural ceramics erected in the space of architecture, is in the limelight of a new field for beautifying civilsurroundings. This subject endeavors to be settled daown as a creative environmental ceramics in accordance wiht modern sense by transforming architectural ceramics into with modernity.

현대조형연구 Studies on Mordern Modeling

현대조각에 있어 새로운 조형공간 개념에 입각한 실험적 진보적 표현활동에 관한 탐구와 시도를 통해 학습자에게 내재된 잠재적 조 형감각을 한층 성숙시키고 구체화시켜 전문가로서의 토대를 마련한다

This subject aims to prepare for a basis of a porfessional sculptor/sculptress by further ripening and materializing the sense of for- mation inherent to a student through an exploitation and attempt of experimental and advanced rendering activities on the basis of a new concept of plastic space in mordern sculpture.

전통소조실기Traditional Modeling Practice

다영한 역사적 유물과 유적 상징물 등과 같은 소재에서 우리의 전통적인 조형미를 발견하고 또한 모사와 응용 변형등을 실제 작품 에 대입함으로써 그 우수한 전통을 계승 체득하는데 주력한다

This subject aims to discover the plastic beauty from our traditional artifacts such as various historical ruins, relics, symbols, etc., and to put stress on inheriting abd realizing an excellent tradition as such by substituing it for making an artwork through imitaion, application and transformation, etc.

인체 등의 구조에 나타나는 조형적 상징을 개성에 따라 다양하게 해석 응용 변형함 으로써 그 대상을 심미적으로 재구성할 수 있는 창조적 표현방법을 연구한다

This subject aims to study a creative expression mathod capable for reorganizing the object aesthtically by differently interpreting, applying,and transforming the plastic symbols appearing at the structure of human body, etc. according to a student’s individual criterion of beauty.

현대소조연구 Studies on Mordern Modeling

인체 등이 지니고 있는 절대미와 순수미를 구하여 그 구조에서 나타나는 조형적 상징성을 현대 감각에 맞게 해석 응용 변형함으로 써 대상을 심미적으로 재창출할 수 있도록 다양한 표현방법을 연구한다

This subject aims to study various expression methods enough for an aesthetic recreation by interpreting, applying and transforming the plastic symbols in a level of mordern sense appearing at the structure acquired from an exploitation of absolute and pure beauty inherent to human body, etc.

현대조각연구 Studies on Mordern Sculpture

현대조각은 그 기법과 재료의 사용에 있어서 특히 다양성을 지니고 있다 따라서 목조 석조 철조 등 현대조각에 사용되는 다양한 재 료들의 물성 연구를 통한 우수한 작품의 창작에 기여하도록 한다

Modern sculpture especially varies in using techniques and materials. Thus this subject aims to serve excellent sculpture through a study on the physical character of various materials used for sculpture made of wood, stone and steel.

도조 Ceramic Sculpture

도조는 도자기 공예와 조각의 합성어로 현대 예술에 생성된 분야이며 조형적 창작의식을 위주로 순수미술로서의 도예를 창작하는 과정을 교육한다

This new movement in contemporary ceramics expands the technical craft skills of students with a goal towards creating high quality visual arts.

유약및번조 Ceramic Glazes and Firing

도자예술에서 기술적으로 가장 중요한 제작과정인 유약과 번조를 이론적 체계적인 강의와 더불어 실습을 진행한다

This focuses on the theoretical and systematic lecture as well as practice on ceramic glazed ans firing the most technically important process in ceramic art.

생활도자Ceramics

현대도예가 너무나 순수예술로만 독주하고 있어 생활도자가 서양화되고 있는 현 실정에 쓰임새의 중요성을 강조한 도예를 교육하여 한국의 도예문화를 생활도예와 순수미술로의 도예로 균형을 이루고자 한다

To balance the more artistic parts of the degree, this course provides opportunities to create modern utilitarian ceramics for con- temporary lifestyles.

도자론Ceramic Art

도자예술의 전반적인 이론과 조형의식 및 도예미학 등을 고려하여 기능과 이론을 겸한 도예가를 양성함에 목적이 있다

This course teaches the theory of form making, beginning with basic skills, through to the more advanced development of ideas, and understanding of important sculptural contexts.

전승도자 Traditional Ceramic Practice

전통도예를 기반으로 한 창작 도예를 교육하여 한국의 전통도예를 교육하여 계승하고 그를 바탕으로 한 새로운 전통도예를 구축함 에 목적이 있다

Students are taught the techniques used in important movements of ceramics from past. The focus is on making new work from these traditions.
