< 미술치료학과 학과 소개>
미술치료학과는 심신이 아픈 대상자를 위한 재활 치료뿐만 아니라, 영성의 삶과 전인적인 인간상을 목표로 마음수양·치유를 꿈꾸는 대상자 모두를 위한 심신 재활 및 치유를 행하는 심리치료의 한 분야로써 심리학을 근간으로 해서 미술이란 매체를 가지고 인문사회학적 가치관으로 정신건강과 재활치료를 실행하기 위한 미술치료의 임상과 이론을 석사 수준으로 갖춘 전문화된 미술치료사를 교육 양성하는 것을 목적으로 합니다.
현대사회에서 수요가 증가하고 AI시대 미래에도 살아남는 직업(세계미래보고서 2030-2050) 미술치료사를 양성하는 미술치료학과 신설의 필요성은 다음과 같습니다.
1. 졸업 후 취업 및 진로에 따른 미술치료학과 전공분야의 세분화 및 전문화 필요성
미술치료학과 졸업 후 절대다수의 취업 진로 중 보건복지부의 발달재활서비스 및 각종 바우처 사업에서 영역을 9개 영역으로 세분화하면서 예술치료 분야도 음악재활과 미술심리재활 제 각기 영역으로 분류 명시하고 있습니다.

2. 미술치료사 수요 기관 및 시설의 증가
미술치료에 대한 인지도의 저변 확대 및 수요의 증가로 미술치료사를 필요로 하는 기관이 나날이 증가하며 전문화된 미술치료사를 양성하는 대학원의 필요성이 증가하고 있습니다.

3. 졸업 후 진로와 취업의 밝은 전망과 미술치료학에 대한 기대 상승으로 대학원 신입생 모집 수월성 증가
졸업 후의 진로가 확보되고 AI 시대에도 살아 남는 직업으로 떠오르고, 인간의 삶의 질을 차츰 추구하게 되는 현대문명에서 반드시 필요한 직업으로 각광을 받으며 학생들 사이에서 미술치료학과의 선호도가 높아지고 있기에 신입생을 모집하는데 수월성이 증가하고 있다고 봅니다.
박사과정의 신설은 본교 미술치료학 전공 석사 졸업생들의 타대학 박사진학 유출 방지는 물론 미술치료학 석사과정 신입생 유치에도 유리하다고 봅니다.
- 여대생 33.6%가 가장 인기 있을 직업 1위로 미술치료사를 선정하였습니다(잡코리아).
- ‘2017한국고용정보원“에서 고용 증가 직업으로 선정하고, 재직자들 83%도 고용이 증가예측(워크넷).
- 언택트 시대의 정신건강을 위해서 필요한 유망 업종으로도 주목을 받고 있음(한국직업방송).
4. 미술치료 세부 분야 전문화 및 자격증에 “미술치료사” 명문화 요구 증대
자격증 및 치료영역에서 통합적이거나 일반적인 예술치료보다는 ‘미술치료전공’ 및 ‘미술치료사(=미술심리재활사)’의 명문화를 요구하고 있습니다. 따라서 구인광고의 치료사를 모집에서도 “예술치료사”가 아닌 “미술치료사”란 전문영역으로 모집하고 있습니다(예:20213월10일 현재 잡코리아채용정보에서 ‘미술치료사’ 모집 키워드 검색결과 35건이지만 ‘예술치료사’ 모집 키워드는 검색결과는 한 건도 없습니다). 미술치료는 예술치료 분야에서 이미 가장 대표적이고 중요한 영역으로 인정받고 음악·사이코드라마·무용 치료 등의 영역과 확실히 구별되고 있습니다.
5. 미술치료사 수요 급증 및 석사 수준의 자격 요구 증가로 대학원 진학 필요성 증가
사회복지와 삶의 질에 관한 관심 증대로 미술치료에 대한 인식이 높아지면서 민간자격증을 소지한 미술치료사들에게 석사 수준 이상의 자격이 요구되고 대학원 입학의 필요성 증가하고 있습니다. 공공예산 및 사회·기업·개인적 투자사업에서도 더불어 석사 이상 수준의 미술치료사를 필요로 합니다. 특히 미술치료의 핵심 분야인 바우처사업과 기업체의 미술치료 사업(예, GS 칼텍스 마음톡톡사업), 심지어 교육청의 미술치료 관련 사업에서도 차츰 석사 이상의 자격을 요구하면서, 일선 현장에서 기존에 난립하였던 민간자격증으로 활동하는 미술치료사들의 대학원 입학이 증가하고 있어서 발 빠른 대응책이 필요합니다.
6. 한국 미술치료계에서 인지도 높은 원광대학교 미술치료학 명성으로 신입생유치 수월성을 통한 학교발전에 이바지
원광대학교의 미술치료학과는 한국에서 미술치료가 처음 이루어진 시기부터 자리를 잡고 시작하여 마술치료학의 학회들이나 임상현장에서 활동하는 초창기 멤버들의 절대다수를 차지하고 있으면서 한국미술치료사의 초창기부터 원광대학교의 미술치료학과의 명성이 인지되어 있습니다. 이예 따라서 학회의 선배나 교수들이 공부하였던 원광대학교에서 미술치료를 하려는 학생들이 있습니다.

전문적 지식과 학문이 취업으로 이어질 수 있도록 최선을 다하고 있습니다. 취업할 수 있도록 철저한 임상현장 위주의 교육을 통한 졸업 후 바로 현장에서 다른 훈련 없이도 활동할 수 있는 전문가를 양성하는 취업위주의 학과를 위해 최선을 다하고 있습니다. 실습이나 임상 경험이 없는 학생들에게도 철저한 맞춤형 교육을 통해서 실습과 임상현장으로 이끌어 가며 대학원 수준의 전문가가 되도록 하고 있습니다.
< 기대효과 및 전망>
1. 미술치료학과의 개설과 더불어 학과창업 및 마음치유센터연구소 설립을 통해서 각종 사업을 수주하여 학생들의 실습 및 직업 창출을 실현하여 신입생유치에 유리할 것임.
2. 새로운 교수진의 확보 없이도, 마음인문학연구소의 치유분과 HK교수와 한의학 연구위원들과 학제간 융합 협력을 통해서, 원광대학교 특성인 마음치유 및 마음공부를 중시하는 인문학적 치유대학원으로 발전.
3. 본교의 요가학, 선명상치유학, 예문화와 다도학과 등의 동양학대학원과 마음인문학연구소와 협동교육과정을 개발하여 추후 ”치유 전문화가 강화“된 대학원으로 자리 잡으며 성장 발전하고 이를 통한 BK사업 및 한국연구재단의 학제간 융합 및 협동 학문사업 신청 및 선정에서 유리한 고지 선점.
4. 중앙정부와 익산지역의 핵심 치유사업과 연계를 통한 학과의 발전 기대됨.
익산시에는 ’웰니스관광크러스터조성방안‘을 마련하면서 익산시에서 치유사업을 발전시키고자 하고 있다. 이에 본 학과는 익산시에서 핵심치유자원으로 간주하는 역사적 유적지와 주변 자연환경을 활용한 미술치료프로그램을 개발하고 연계 사업을 개발하여 익산의 지역 사업에 동참하는 방안을 마련하고자 노력하여 지역사회에서 본교의 위상을 높이는 기회라고 봅니다.
<학과 교육목표>
1) 전문화된 교육을 통해서 심신의 어려움을 겪고 있는 유아, 아동, 청소년, 성인 및 노인에 이르기까지 정신건강을 최우선 하는 임상치유현장에 적합한 전문적 미술치료전문가를 양성한다.
2) 미술, 심리상담, 치유이론, 미술심리재활교육을 바탕으로, 심리치료를 위한 미술심리상담과 발달재활상담 및 치유를 수행할 수 있는 임상에 활용되는 프로그램을 연구, 계획, 운영할 수 있는 전문가를 양성한다.

아동의 가족과 협력하여 성공적으로 장애아동 교육을 하기 위해서는 장애아동이 속한 가족에 대해 이해하고, 가족 특성에 따른 지원을 할 수 있어야 한다. 본 교과목에서는 장애아동이 속한 가장 중요한 환경인 장애아동 가족특성을 이해할 수 있도록 하며, 이를 바탕으로 발달재활서비스 현장에서 활용 가능한 가족지원에 대해 학습함으로써 현장에서 장애아동 가족지원을 실천할 수 있도록 한다. | In order to successfully train children in cooperation with families of children with disabilities, they must be able to understand the families of children with disabilities and provide support based on family characteristics.
